Clovers News · Clover Athletes Selected for Accolades

Many Clover Athletes are standing out and being recognized by area Coaches Associations.  We are truly proud of our athlete’s accomplishments during competition and also in the classroom!  Way to go Clovers!

Tori Combs — Selected as Hoosier Basketball Coaches Association All District 2 Team in first round of voting as the season concluded.  Those All District athletes are then voted on again with a chance to become a Regional All-Star for the East-West HBCA Regional All-Star Spring Classic!  Tori was selected this year to that All-Star team!  Combs averaged 15.0 ppg and 13.7 rpg her Senior season as she helped lead the Lady Clovers to a 22-4 record setting year and a Putnam County and Western Indiana Conference Championship before losing in the Championship game of the Sectional to a quality Western Boone team.  Tori has had an astounding career for the Clovers averaging a double double with 13.7 ppg and 12.5 rpg.  No other Female Lady Clover has more rebounds than Tori who grabbed 1223 career rebounds and she ranks second among Lady Clovers all time scorers with 1346 career points second only to Ann Hutcheson (1546).  Tori has committed to play both Basketball and Volleyball at Lincoln Trail.

Jake Wilkes and Logan Abner — Both of these Clover Athletes were selected for the Wabash Valley Football Coaches Association All-Star team and will play with the Black Team on June 29th at Indiana State’s Memorial Stadium.  Jake Wilkes rushed for 445 yards this year averaging 8.1 yards per carry.  Jake also had 15 catches for 160 yards for 10.1 yards per reception.  Wilkes also had 66 total tackles (19.5 for loss) and 7 sacks.  Jake has committed to play Football at Culver-Stockton College in Missouri.  Logan Abner rushed for 416 yards this year averaging 3.7 yards per carry.  Logan also had 86 total tackles (13.5 for loss) and 2.5 sacks.  Logan will join the Air Force after graduation.

In addition to these two Footballers making the All-Star team, Parker Watts was voted as honorable mention and many of our Football Athletes were given All Wabash Valley Academic Team (GPA 3.5 or higher).

Logan Abner, Wyatt Helterbrand, Brady Szczerbik, Jeremy Hess, Harley Pellam, Josh Roach, Jake Smith, Caydhen Stevens, and Trevor Woods.
