Multiple Teams · JV Clovers Lose Tough Battle with Danville

The JV Clovers lost a hard-fought battle against the Warriors of Danville on Tuesday night. In the first set, both teams were in a tie at 17 before Danville pushed an 8-2 run to finish the set. Serving woes were the major setback for the Clovers in the first set but used great defense to stay within striking distance.

The second set witnessed both teams fighting tooth and nail as Danville had a 20-19 lead before a serving run forced the Clovers to take a time out. The defense continued to force Danville mistakes but the Clovers weren’t able to get quality swings to put the ball away.
